One day, she was kidnapped by a dragon from Yellow River who fell in love with her beauty. After being rescued by Emperor 夷羿 (Yi Yi), they got married and lived happily ever after. As a reward for her devotion to Luo Fire, she was deified as an immortal god known as 洛神.
The legend of 女娲and 伏羲's offspring highlights their contributions to humanity's development through various events such as creating people or repairing heaven; teaching humans how to use water or fishing techniques; etcetera. Their descendants went on to become important figures in Chinese history like 炎黄二帝 (Emperor Yan Huang).
