不久,他终于用力挥下最后一刀,tree fell down with a loud thud.
Excited, he ran to tell his uncle that he had chopped down a tree. Uncle Roger was shocked when he saw the tree and asked if it was really him who chopped it down. Little Washington proudly claimed responsibility for the act.
However, as they approached the scene, they realized that the tree was actually his father's favorite cherry blossom tree. The family was devastated by this loss. When their father returned home and found out what happened, he scolded Little Washington for cutting down such an important tree.
Little Washington felt terrible about what had happened but insisted on taking responsibility for his actions. His father then gave him some wise advice: "Honesty is more valuable than any number of trees." He explained that honesty is essential in society and will help him gain respect from others.
From then on, Little Washington learned to value honesty above all else and grew up to be a responsible person who made his family proud.
